Islamabad- Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will spend the Independence Day with the IDPs of North Waziristan in Bannu.
According to reports, after the flag hoisting ceremony at the Convention Centre in Islamabad, the Prime Minister will proceed to Bannu and take part in the Independence Day celebrations with Internally Displaces Persons of NWA. Corps Commander Peshawar Lt General Khalid Rabbani will host the national flag at an IDP Camp in Bannu to mark the beginning of the celebrations in the camp.
The objective of the Prime Minister's visit is to assure the displaced people that the government and people of Pakistan are with them even at their difficult times and they share their happiness and sufferings. The Prime Minister will meet elders of the IDPs and gifts will be distributed among the children.
