PESHAWAR - Provincial Doctor Association and Young Doctors Association have dropped a hint to hold complete strike on Saturday in all tertiary hospitals of the city to force the government for early recovery of Dr Amjad Taqweem.
The two-hour token strike continued in all major hospitals of the city including Khyber Teaching Hospital, Hayatabad Medical Complex, and Lady Reading Hospital. The doctors fastened black strips while attending their duties. The doctors community has announced that complete strike will be observed on Saturday to force the government for meeting out their demands.
Talking to The Nation President of Provincial Doctor Association Dr Shah Sarwar said that government should not force them on sit-in in front of Chief Minister House as despite passing of several days the government has not succeeded in the recovery of Dr Amjad Taqweem. He added that they would observe complete strike on Saturday in all the hospitals including private clinics and after this they would chalk out strategy for sit-in in front of Chief Minister House.
