SHAKARGARH - Head of Unification Bloc in Punjab Assembly, MPA Dr Tahir Ali Javed has said that he will contest the next general elections from the PML-N platform from constituency PP-133.
Addressing a big public gathering here the other day, the former provincial health minister said that his father Dr Naimat Ali Javed would contest elections from NA-116. He asked the people to elect honest, selfless and sincere leadership to ensure development and collective welfare of the masses.
The people must reject dishonest, selfish and insincere politicians who have changed loyalties and hoodwinked the public for their personal gains,” he stressed. The Unification Bloc head claimed that he and his father had always struggled for the progress and prosperity of the people of the area. Dr Tahir said that a number of mega projects had been completed in the district including up-gradation of several schools and Tehsil Headquarters Hospital and establishment of new schools and colleges and basic health units besides installation water filtration plants. He asked the people to vote for the PML-N in the next elections and elect the party with majority for the development of the area and the country.
On the occasion both Dr Naimat Ali and Dr Fouzia Tahir also addressed the gathering and said that they would do everything for the rights of people of Shakargarh.

According to Rescue-1122, Asma Bibi, daughter of Muhammad Iqbal quarrelled with her parents over some domestic issue and drunk acid.
As a result, she became unconcious. She was shifted to DHQ Hospital in critical condition. Meanwhile, four people were injured when they fell from a motorcycle on a link-road of the village. Munir, Ayesha, Ali and a minor child Ahad of Chak-303/GB were shifted to DHQ Hospital.
