DERA BUGTI - Unidentified miscreants on Saturday blew up a 16-inch diameter gas pipeline with the help of explosive material from the main junction, suspending gas supply to various areas. According to OGDCL sources, some unidentified miscreants planted an explosive device on the gas pipeline at the main junction supplying gas to Pir Koh Plant from various gas wells. The explosives went off with a big bang, destroying the gas pipeline. The sources said that after the blast, gas leaked from three wells.
At least 15 to 20 hours were required for repairing the pipeline and restoring the gas to the area.
