JHANG/SHEIKHUPURA/MANDI BAHAUDDIN/KOT RADHA KISHAN - At least nine persons including two minors and a woman were killed and four others injured in separate incidents of violence, enmity and road accidents over the past 24 hours.
According to detail, in JHANG four persons including a minor child were killed in separate incidents occurred in different parts. In the first road mishap, a speeding passenger bus crushed a minor child to death. Reportedly, two persons and a minor child, residents of Layyah came to the shrine of Sultan Bahoo to pay respect to the sufi saint on a motorcycle. On their way back home when they reached Adda Bharli near Garh Mahraja, a speeding Layyah-bound passenger bus on the way from Lahore hit the motorcycle. Resultantly eight-year-old Ali Hamza died on the spot while his father and the other person sustained critical injuries and were admitted to nearby hospital.
In another incident which occurred in Mauza Maddoki situated in the limit of Satellite Town Police, five alleged culprits including Nazir Muhammad, Naeemul Hassan, Arif and their two unidentified accomplices axed a youth identified as Allah Ditta to death over a petty issue.
Similarly, in another mishap which took place in chak 230/JB in the remit of Mochiwala Police, some unknown accused shot dead one Sahib Khan. The reason behind the murder could not be established so far. The Mochiwala Police have registered a case against unknown culprits.
Yet in another road mishap occurred on Jhang-Chiniot Road near Bhuwana, a vegetable seller was killed. Reportedly, one Ijaz Bhutta, a resident of Mohallah Irshadwala was going to Faisalabad to purchase vegetables on a pick-up van. When he reached near Shah Jinda Bridge, tie rod of the vehicle broke due to which the vehicle rammed into a tree. Resultantly, the vegetable vendor died on the spot. The deceased is said to be father of three children and was the sole bread-winner of his family.
In MANDI BAHAUDDIN, the dead body of a 12-year-old class 5th student identified as Nadeem was found from the premises of Health Centre Dhoke Kasib in the jurisdiction of Saddr Police.
The police said that Nadeem went out of home to play the other day but did not come back till late night upon which his family started search and found his dead body on the premises of local hospital.
Police reached the spot and moved the body to DHQ Hospital Mandi Bahauddin for autopsy. Police said preliminary investigation revealed that the death was caused due to strangulation after molesting the deceased.
In SHEIKHUPURA, a woman was killed while her spouse suffered serious injuries when a hit their two-wheelers near Mandiali on Lahore Road. According to information, Zaheer Ahmad and his wife Tahira Bibi were coming to Sheikhupura from Lahore on a motorcycle. In the meantime a speeding truck hit motorcycle from the rear, killing the woman instantly while her spouse sustained injuries and was shifted to hospital. The Factory Area Police have started investigation into the incident.
In HAFIZABAD, a young man in Mustafabad Pindi Bhattian was shot dead by unidentified accused.
The Pindi Bhattian Saddr Police sent the body to THQ Hospital Pindi Bhattian and have registered a case against unknown accused.
According to police source, the deceased Ehsan Ullah was engaged with the daughter of Muhammad Hayat and was going to be wedded shortly. Though exact motive of the offence could not be ascertained yet it is presumed that Ehsan Ullah was murdered due to matrimonial dispute.
In KOT RADHA KISHAN, a man shot dead two persons including his brother-in-law and injured his mother-in-law over a domestic dispute here in village Khuddian.
Reportedly, Shakeel had some domestic disputes with his in-laws. On Tuesday, the accused came to his in-laws and started quarrelling over some issue. Later, the accused opened indiscriminate firing, killing his brother-in-law Faisal and relative Zafar killed on the spot while mother-in-law Seema Bibi received injuries.
The Khuddian Police have registered a case and sent the dead bodies to DHQ hospital Kasur for autopsy.
