Two persons were killed and 10 FC soldiers were injured in a blast that hit the FC check post at airport road here on Tuesday.
According to sources, a bomb implanted on a cycle exploded as an FC mobile was passing the checkpost at Alam Chowk. As a result of explosion 2 citizens were killed while 10 FC soldiers were injured severely.
The sound of the blast was so severe that it could be heard several kilometers awat. Several vehicles were also damaged in the blast.
On getting information, FC and rescue teams reached the spot and cordoned off the area. The rescue teams transported the injured soldiers to the CMH Quetta Hospital and dead bodies to Civil Hospital Quetta.
 Probe into the incident has been initiated and an important breakthrough is expected, the police said.
It is pertinent to mention that a few days back here an FC convey was targeted in which 10 people died.
