GUJRANWALA/DERA GHAZI KHAN

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Gujranwala has announced the result of the Higher Secondary School Certificate (12th Class) Annual Examination, 2015 here on Saturday.
A total of 118,564 candidates appeared in the examination from which 62,984 were declared successful with 53.12 pass percentage. Komal Arif of Punjab College bagged first position securing 1,045 marks; Muhammad Sharjeel of Govt Mure College Sialkot stood second with 1,041 marks while Lareb Khalid of Punjab College got third position securing 1,038 marks.
According to details, in Pre Medical Group, Muhammad Sharjeel captured first, Abdur Rehman of Govt College Zafarwal grabbed second with 1,024 marks and Hafiz Waqar stood on third position securing 1023 marks.
In Pre Medical, Komal Arif stood first, Lareb Khalid second and Suneela Tabassam of Royal College Narowal grabbed third position with 1032 marks. In Pre Engineering, Bilal Haider stood first with 1038 marks, Hassan Arshad got 1028 marks and stood second while Muqadam Nafees and Hassan Javed jointly grabbed third position securing 1016 marks each.
In Pre Engineering, Maleeha Amin bagged first position with 1029 marks, Kainat Akmal stood second securing 1015 marks and Maryam Abid and Hinsa Mubarak bagged third position with 1014 marks. In Humanities, Noveel Shahid stood first by securing 958 marks, Mubashir Ali and Arslan Anayat grabbed second with 937 marks while Muhammad Siddique bagged third with 904 marks. In the same group, Aliya Andleeb stood first securing 971 marks, Suneel Sherazi bagged second with 953 marks and Sana Liaqat grabbed third securing 943 marks.
In General Science group, Agha M Ali stood first with 979 marks, Osama Obaid grabbed second securing 978 marks and M Amir Ejaz captured third position with 976 marks. In the same group, Romeesa captured first with 990 marks, Ayesha Afzal got second with 988 marks and Irfa Ejaz stood third with 980 marks. In Commerce Group, Roheel Arshad captured first, Hamad Ali stood second and Muhammad Hamza grabbed third while Manaza got first position, Maham stood second and Ansa captured third position.
Meanwhile, the BISE Dera Ghazi Khan announced the results of HSSC (Part-II & Combined) Annual Examination 2015 in a ceremony held at its office.
Baran Shafqat s/o Qazi Shafqat Feroz of Punjab Public Higher Secondary School, Muzaffargarh secured 1060 marks out of 1100 and stood first, Saqib Ameen s/o Ameen of Govt Post Graduate College Muzaffargarh secured 1046 marks and stood second while Noor Fatima d/o Ehsanullah of Punjab College Girls and Mushayyada Fatima d/o Safdar Mahmood Khan of Govt College for Women DG Khan secured 1040 marks and jointly got third position.
Abdullah Altaf grabbed first position with 1036 marks, Muhammad Yousuf remained second with 1028 marks and Muhammad Arslan got third position with 1027 marks in Pre-Medical Group.
Noor Fatima and Mushayyada Fatima jointly stood first with 1040 marks, Rubab Sana second with marks 1037 and Umaima Fatima third with 1033 marks in Pre-Medical Group.
Baran Shafqat stood first with 1060 marks, Saqib Ameen second with marks 1046 and Maaz Anwar third with 1020 marks in Pre-Engineering Group (boys).
Rabbia Aslam grabbed first position with 1009 marks, Saima Alam second with 1007 marks and Atiqa Kamil third with 993 in Pre-Engineering group (girls).
Ghazanfar Hayat stood first, Muhammad Adnan second Abdul Hafeez and Saifuddin shared third position in the category of Humanities & Commerce group (boys). Sobia Mujahid stood first, Saniya Hazoor Bakhsh second and Mehek Hina third in Humanities & Commerce group.
Muhammad Aurangzaib stood first, Nabila Rafique second and Aamir Sohail third in General Science group.
Deputy Controller of Examination Sheikh Amjad Hussain said that total 36460 candidates appeared in the exams, while 22045 candidates were declared successful with 60.46 pass percentages.

Boys break girls’ hegemony after years

MULTAN

For the first time in many years, the boys finally succeeded in eliminating the girls’ hegemony on position table in Intermediate (Annual) Examination, 2015.
The examination was conducted by Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Multan and the boys clinched all the three overall top positions, disclosed the result document here on Saturday.
The result was declared by the Multan BISE Controller of Examination, who disclosed that Mohammad Mohaymin Ali, Roll No-709709, stood first with 1046 marks. The second position was shared by two students Usama Ali Cheema, Roll No-709206, and Ahmed Jamil, Roll No-708736, who scored 1042 each. The third position was clinched by Muhammad Hamza Awais, Roll No-708591. He secured 1038 marks. All the three top positions were taken away by the students of private institutions and the candidates from government colleges and higher secondary schools failed to win any position.
The result document revealed that a total of 58414 candidates appeared in the examination out of which 32599 were declared successful, showing 64.21 per cent success ratio. The total number of candidates, who took examination under Pre Medical Group stood at 10822 and 8699 got through with 80.38 per cent pass percentage. Similarly, the success ratio in Pre Engineering Group stood at 67.90 per cent as 10311 candidates appeared in the examination under this group and 7002 passed. A total of 7074 candidates appeared in the examination under General Science Group and 3649 qualified the examination with 51.58 per cent success ratio.
The number of candidates in Commerce Group stood at 3533 and 1847 got through, showing 52.27 per cent success ratio. The highest number of candidates appeared in the examination under Humanities Group as 26674 students took examination under this group and 11402 were declared successful with 42.74 per cent success ratio. The examination begun on May 7 and ended on June 8, 2015. A total of 3,122 candidates got A+ Grade, 4,344 A, 7951 B, 10982 C, 5886 D, 243 E and 71 passed with no grade.
32 UMCs Registered
The Controller of Examination disclosed that a total of 32 Unfair Means Cases (UMCs) were registered during the examination and the candidates involved in all of them were punished.
