QUETTA - Two girls received injuries when unidentified people threw acid on them in Dalbandin headquarter of district Chaghi, some 400 kilometres in west of provincial capital on Tuesday night, police said. Unidentified persons who were riding a motorbike threw acids on two girls identified as Gul Babo, 13, and Durjamal, 12, residents of Kili Qasimabad of Dalbandin. The accused escaped from the site after committing the crime. Resultantly, both girls received serious injuries on their faces and neck. They were rushed to nearby hospital where doctors after providing them first medical aid referred them Quetta for further treatment. Motive behind the incident is yet to be ascertained. This was first incident of acid throwing on girls in a remote town of Balochistan. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
