Eight killed in road mishap near Jamshoro

JAMSHORO  - At least eight persons, four children among them, were killed in a deadly road accident near Jamshoro town of Sindh on Sunday. According to rescue officials, the incident took place on the Indus Highway near Lakki Shah Sadar where a passenger coach collided head-on with a truck. Six persons including two children died on the spot while several others sustained injuries. The injured were rushed to Civil Hospital Sehwan where two children succumbed to the injuries.
The hospital administration expressed fear that death toll may rise as condition of several other injured was critical.
Majority of the persons killed belonged to Sarjani area of Karachi and were going to the Mazar of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar for ziyarat.
