ISLAMABAD (Online) First petition has been filed in Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking the court orders for registration of case against the former president Pervez Musharraf under the charges being the author of black law of NRO and being behind the murder of Nawab Akbar Bugti and Benazir Bhutto. Shah Jahan Durrani who had filed the petition had taken the plea Pervez Musharraf was author of black law NRO, was murderer of Benazir Bhutto and Nawab Akbar Bugti and he had pursued double standards in war on terror, therefore the case be registered against him, he be brought back to Pakistan and proceedings be initiated against him. He had further taken the plea that Maj Gen (Retd) Rashid Qureshi and Barrister Dr M Ali Saif be also investigated action be taken against them for giving wrong advice to Musharraf. It may be recalled that this is first petition which has been filed in IHC soon after its restoration after having remained suspended for 16 months. As many as 240 staff members of the court have started their work. However the hearing of the cases will start after the process of appointment of judges is completed. Parliamentary committee will approve the name for the post of chief justice which has been recommended by Judicial Commission (JC). The names of remaining judges will be recommended by the JC in its next meeting. Earlier the commission has recommended the name of Justice Iqbal Hamid ur Rehman for the post of chief justice of IHC.
