JAD for national consensus on KBD

OKARA - Jamiat Ahle Hadith (JAD) Central General Secretary Hafiz Abdus Sami Okarvi said that the issue of building Kalabagh Dam should be resolved by developing a nation consensus among all stakeholders.
He was addressing a press conference here the other day. He said that Kalabagh Dam could not be built without developing a national consensus. He said the LHC verdict stoked up a controversial issue at a time when the general elections were around the corner.
“The Punjab should consider the opinion of other provinces on Kalabagh dam and decide launching a campaign for resolving the burning issue,” he suggested.
He said that the law and order situation in the country was going bad from worst with every passing day and the innocent people were being killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Sindh and other parts of the country due to ineptitude of the incumbent rulers.
He said that the political and religious leaders should condemn the anti-Pakistan elements and their sponsored for being acting on foreign diktat against the national interest.
He stressed that unity and harmony amongst all sects was the need of the hour, especially at the crucial juncture when the country was confronted with multifarious external as well as internal challenges.
