Kech DC, Tump AC abducted

QUETTA - Unidentified people abducted the Kech Deputy Commissioner and Tump Assistant Commissioner near Tump Town on Thursday.
Confirming the incident, Balochistan Home Secretary Asad Gilani said that some armed men intercepted Kech DC Abdul Hameed Abro and Tump AC Muhammad Hussain who were heading towards Tump after holding a meeting with Iranian authorities on Pak-Iran border. "Armed men abducted the both officials and their guards," he said, adding that after a short drive they freed the guards," Mr. Gilani said.
Soon after receiving the information, the law enforcement agencies immediately launched a search operation in the area to trace out the kidnappers. No group claimed responsibility for the kidnapping.
SIX ‘MILITANTS’ KILLED IN DERA BUGTI
As many as six alleged militants were killed in an operation carried out by security forces in restive Dera Bugti district and seized heavy cache of arms on Thursday.
The Frontier Corps spokesman said that security personnel carried out operation in Chap Garth area of Dera Bugti district on secret information along with local administration.
"Following heavy exchange of firing with militants six militants got killed," he said, adding "Militants were involved in blowing up gas pipeline, railway tracks and other anti- state activities.
He said that FC also seized a huge quantity of arms, explosives, detonator and ammunition from the hideout of militants who were also involved in attack on citizens and security forces.
However, names of alleged militants killed in the operation could not be ascertained.
Frontier Corps Inspector General Major General Muhammad Ejaz Shahid appreciated the Frontier Corps personnel for this successful operation against the militants.
