HANGU : A major terror bid was foiled after a 4-kg bomb planted outside a primary school was defused in district Hangu on Friday. According to details, unidentified militants planted the bomb at the main gate of Government Primary School Babu Tang. "The school was evacuated after a teacher informed the police about the bomb," police said. The Bomb Disposal Squad rushed to the site and managed to defuse the 4-kg bomb, and the school resumed its classes afterwards.
The militants have often targeted schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Fata and hundreds of schools have so far been damaged in such incidents.
