Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakria said Indian behavior on F-16 jets purchase is disappointing. He added that the Indian reaction has surprised Pakistan.
While addressing a media briefing he further said India is itself one of the largest purchasers of arms and weapons.
“We are buying these jets under an agreement with the US,” Zakria said. “It’s a part of War on Terror in which Pakistan and America are close allies.”
Pakistan is set to receive eight more F-16 jets from US under the deal, which will add to its 80 F-16 jet fleet.
After the confirmation of the supply of jets, Indian government showed great apprehensions over it. India called upon the US consulate head to record its apprehensions to the US government.
