PESHAWAR - A policeman got injuries in an explosion occurred in the Peshawar’s Badbher locality where the funeral prayers of slain ANP leader Mian Mushtaq Ahmed was scheduled to be offered on Monday.
According to the police, security arrangements were being made in Badbher’s Sulemankhel area in the suburbs of Peshawar for the funeral prayers of Mushtaq Ahmed. A police mobile was transporting a walkthrough gate to be installed when the explosion occurred. Subsequently, one policeman was injured.
Talking to the media, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Faisal Wahid said that two and a half kilograms of explosives were used in bomb that triggered the explosion. He said that a search operation conducted in the area and 10 to 15 suspects were detained, adding that security was beefed up in the area.
