Another Rs4.5m bank heist

KARACHI – Bandits on Friday robbed Rs4.5 million from a private bank branch located here in the remits of Frere police station.
Police said that four bandits were barged into the bank and held hostage the staffers and customers presented inside the branch of a local bank located in Defence, phase-II Extension. DSP Zameer Ahmed said that at least four armed robbers barged into the bank at 12:00pm. He added that one of the bandits entered the branch by portraying himself as a customer and called rest of his accomplices via mobile phone.
Three bandits entered and easily overpowered the deputed guards and staffers. They looted the money and managed to flee without any fear of CCTVs installed there.
Police got the pictures and claimed to have identified one of the bandits allegedly involved in several criminal activities. Police lodged an FIR 231/2012 against unidentified bandits on the complaint of bank manager Atif. 
It is pertinent to mention here that it was the 10th bank heist in current year.
WOMAN AMONG 3 KILLED IN CITY: Three people including a woman were killed in different incidents of violence here on Friday.
Police found a tortured mark body of a woman from the bushes in Malir area of Malir Cantt police station. Police said that the body of 35-year-old woman was found near from Golf Club, Malir.
The identification of victim is yet to be ascertained. The body was taken to morgue after autopsy at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for identification.
Similarly, a gunny bag packed body of a young man was found from Lyari riverbed in the precincts of Rizvia Police Station. Police said that the body of around 32-year-old young man was found near KB School from Lyari Riverbed.
The victim’s identification is yet to be ascertained. Police suspect that the victim was killed after abduction.
The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico legal formalities and later moved to morgue.
Meanwhile, a man axed his elder brother over a pity issue here in the remits of Boat Baison police station.
Police said that Munawar Masih and his elder brother Eshaq Masih exchanged harsh words over some petty issue when they got out of control and Munawar axed Eshaq. Family members of deceased caught Munawar and handed him over to the police while police registered an FIR on complaint of Mushtaq Masih, another brother of the deceased.
