Imran slams Riaz allegations against judiciary

LAHORE – PTI Chairman, Imran Khan has demanded of the Bahria Town founder, Malik Riaz to reveal the names of the judges, Generals, bureaucrats and journalists on oath whom he allegedly bought in order to hold accountable the same for serving his agenda.
He expressed these views while talking to the media at Allama Iqbal International Airport on Wednesday.  Imran observed that Malik Riaz has turned Pakistan into an auction house, (neelam ghar) by allegedly buying politicians, Generals, journalists and bureaucrats and he should reveal the names of these people by swearing on the Holy Quran so that the same could be held accountable for serving the ulterior motives of Riaz.  He said that the allegations levelled against the Chief Justice were meant to paralyse the superior judiciary.
He said that PTI would always stand with the country’s independent judiciary, he stated.
He accused all other political parties for taking variety of benefits from Malik Riaz, claiming that PTI was the only party, which hasn’t received a single benefit from the Bahria Town founder.  Imran without naming the politician from Rawalpindi said that this political figure was a liar and had been propagating that PTI’s Pindi rally was financed by Malik Riaz.
Replying to a question regarding the Memogate, he said that President Asif Ali Zardari was to blame for the memorandum because he appointed Hussain Haqqani as Ambassador to the US.  Responding to another query, he while alleging the PML-N high command for playing the role of friendly Opposition said:“I want to tell the people sitting in Raiwind that there will be no Martial Law nor will the Army be called in”.
Replying to yet another question, Imran said that the solution to the country’s problems was free and fair elections, which he claimed could not be held in the presence of President Zardari.
