The medical officer of the Rural Health Centre Sanjarpur, Sadiqabad has been accused by a female victim of getting bribe for issuance of a medicolegal certificate and then declaring it fabricated.
Razi Bibi, the victim, also alleged that the medical officer with connivance of the health centre staff at first issued the certificate to her by taking bribe and then took "bribe" from the defendants and declared it fabricated thereby plundering both the parties. She demanded immediate action against Medical Officer Abdul Sattar, Abdul Wakil and paramedical staff including Akram.
According to the case details, the woman was "beaten up" by many persons in a land dispute in Chak 177-P. For medication and issuance of a medicolegal certificate, the injured woman was brought to the rural Health Centre where the medical officer, through Akram, demanded bribe for issuance of the certificate, saying that an influential person was pressuring him not to issue the same. Later, he issued the certificate after taking bribe, she added.
Later, Razia alleged, the officer also took bribe from the other party and declared the certificate fabricated. Through the media, she appealed to the officials concerned to take action against the persons and to provide her with justice. She alleged that local PML-N leaders are pressuring the police for cancellation of the case.
