TANDO ADAM  - Hundreds of passengers of Karachi-bound Pakistan Express staged demonstration, broke window panes of train and pelted stones on the office of station master, as engine of the train failed leaving them with no other option but to wait for several hours in scorching hot weather on Thursday.
They also blocked the railway track by staging sit-in and putting barriers in front of another train Karachi Express coming from Punjab and bound for Karachi.  The passengers of this train also suffered a lot due to blockage of track. The enraged passengers chanted slogans against railway administration.
The railway administration called city police for help who baton charged the protesting passengers and got the track cleared after which the Karachi Express left for onward journey. Police managed to control the enraged protesters after several hours.
The railway administration asked for alternative engine to facilitate the passengers.
The Pakistan Express also left for Karachi when an alternate engine was called from Kotri.
