Students protest against AIOU

OUR STAFF REPORTER KHANEWAL - The parents of students who appeared in B.Ed examination held under Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) protested against mismanagement in the examination centres and demanded with the Vice Chancellor and deputy regional director AIOU Multan to take strict disciplinary action against staff of examination department and examination staff of centres. Most of the students complained that they paid thousands of rupees as examination fee but AIOU never bothered to facilitate the students during examination. They alleged that AIOU never provided cold drinking water in this hot weather. The extra answering sheets were not available and were not provided to the students. All the papers were started late i.e 02:30 PM instead of 02:00 PM. There was also poor sitting arrangement in all centres of the AIOU. The students alleged that during all the papers, only superintendent of the centre was available and the helping staff was not available. Condemning the poor administration, the parents and students of AIOU University appearing in B.Ed examinations demanded AIOU VC and Deputy regional director Multan to take serious notice of irregularity and poor arrangement in B Ed examination centres and other exams previously held during the year.
