PTI demands recounting in NA-57

ATTOCK
Besides pointing out different irregularities in the polling process, the PTI candidate has demanded the re-counting in all the polling stations of NA-57, especially ascertain the authenticity of the signatures of the polling agents.
Former State Minister and PTI candidate for NA-57 Attock Malik Amin Aslam lodged a complaint with the returning officer concerned, alleging that many irregularities took place during and after the polling and demanded re-counting of the results compiled by presiding officers in the constituency. He, in his written complaint(copies of which have been forwarded to CEC, District Returning Officer Attock and EU observer mission for election 2013) alleged that at different polling stations the polling process was delayed intentionally, resulting in abandoning of vote casting by many voters, especially the women.
Amin Aslam maintained that presiding officers of different polling stations refused to hand over the copy of the official results to his polling agents and the compilation of the results at polling stations was also not transparent while final result was announced after a delay of 18 hours which was beyond comprehension.
He also alleged that result of his constituency which he compiled through his agents was totally different from the result announced by the returning officer. Amin Aslam who as per the unofficial results is runner-up from NA-57, demanded re-counting of all the results compiled by the presiding officers.
