Two children were killed and eight others got injured in two separate incidents here in Wazirdand and Molagori areas of tehsil Jamrud on Monday, official and local sources informed.

The first incident took place in Wazirdand where a stray rocket shell fired by unknown militants from unknown location struck the house of a local tribesman Gul Nawaz Afridi and killed his minor son on the spot.

Eight other members of the family including five children and three women sustained wounds and were shifted to the nearest hospital for medical aid, sources said. Similarly a two-year-old girl was killed when roof of her room collapsed in Molagori

area. The mother of child received multiple injuries and was rushed to Jamrud health centre for treatment, sources said.
