The family of a robbery accused, who died in custody, has blamed the police for torturing the man to death here on Monday.
Reportedly, the residents of village Khizerabad had handed over an accused involved in robbery namely Nasir to the Jhal Chakkian Police four days ago. However, the accused died in the police custody under mysterious circumstances. However, the bereaved family has blamed that their loved one was killed the police due to severe torture. They protested against what they called the “worst brutality” and demanded stern action against the cops responsible for the incident.
On the other hand, the district administration has directed a judicial inquiry into the incident.
