SIALKOT - Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameer Sirajul Haq strongly condemned the Indian aggression on Sialkot Working Boundary and Line of Control and killings of innocent civilians, asking the government to take a bold and strong stance against Indian brutality.
The government should respond to India in befitting manner and should not tolerate any aggression on the borders.
JI Ameer Sirajul Haq stated this while addressing a donors’ conference held on Monday. The Jamaat chief emphasised that the JI would continue playing its role for finding out peaceful solutions to all issues. He reiterated the JI resolve to work for transforming Pakistan into a welfare state as envisaged by founder of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He urged all the politicians to shun their political differences and united for national interest to steer the country out of the prevailing crises.
He said that in past almost all the politicians had disappointed the masses now it was the turn of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) to form government after coming power with the power of votes of the masses. He pointed out that different political parties had now become “property parties” and leaders of all such parties were inheriting their political assets to their children. The JI ameer said that the political parties busy making tall claims of democracy did not have democracy in their very own ranks.
SHELLING-HIT VILLAGES DRIVE OF POWER: All the 70 Indian shelling-hit bordering villages have been deprived of electricity due to unprovoked intensified Indian shelling for the past one week. Though these villages had already been vacated by the residents, there was no light damage to electricity supply infrastructure by Indian shelling.
According to Gepco senior officials, all the electric wires, cables, poles and transformers were badly damaged by Indian shelling in Sialkot bordering villages including Dhamaala-Charwah,  Tulsipur, Rangor, Gandiyal, Sapwaal, Baghiyaari, Joiyaan, Bajra Garhi, Harpal, Anula, Khokhar, Nandpur,  Chak Sokha,  Ruraki Awanaan, Jarraal,  Kotli Khawaja, Khokhar Chabba , Chaprar,  Jangura, Sakhiyaal, Kothey Raja,  Salaankey, Beeni Sulehriyaan, Nandpur, Sakhiyaal , Kothey Raja, Tongar, Raja Harpal,  Sukmaal, Daallowali, Thathi, Thathi Khurd,  Meendarwal and surroundings. The Gepco officials were unable to rectify the electricity system in these villages. They said that the Gepco will start rectification work after the border tension de-escalates between Pakistan and Indian along the Sialkot Working Boundary.
