Filthy water inundates markets

WAZIRABAD - Filthy rainwater has inundated the main bazaar of Qudratabad here. Some residents have migrated and 500 feet portion of the bazaar has been closed as 1-3 feet water has accumulated in the houses and the road. The western areas of Qudratabad have turned into pond. This pond is 350 meters away from the sewerage line on Ahmad Nagar Road. However, silt has raised the level of pond due to which filthy and rainy water reversed and entered the houses and inundated some 100 meters portion of the main bazaar. Some socio-political figures including former nazim Mohammad Farrukh Ayub, Anjuman Islah-e-Moashra president Abdul Ghafoor, Malik Muhammad Akhtar, former naib nazim, local secretary PML-N Malik Muhammad Shakeel, Malik Muhammad Shafiq and Aslam Ansari demanded new sewerage pipeline.
