ISLAMABAD- Citizens have demanded for launching train service to all the major cities of the country from Islamabad.

The train service has already been launched from Islamabad to Lahore and it is running successfully. The citizens of federal capital which constitute 95 percent of government employees and private sector employees are facing transport problems and this problem deepens on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Azha as the commuters are forced to travel to their native towns and cities by paying fare of buses at double or triple rate.

The citizens said that Margalla railway station is operating in Islamabad. They demanded that Islamabad railway station be reactivated on modern lines and train service be started for other cities including Karachi, Peshawar, Multan and other major cities.
