LAHORE - Influential Wilayat Butt family head Amjad Iqbal Butt and other community chiefs of Mangowal town of Gujrat have dissociated themselves from Ahmad Mukhtar and PML-N leaderships and announced their full support to PML-Q leader Ch Pervaiz Elahi and Moonis Elahi at a big gathering in Mangowal on Sunday.
According to a Press release issued here, those also present on the occasion included Moghul community chief and head of Retired Teachers Association Muhammad Anwar Bhatti, Laeeq Shehzad Butt, Ansar Mahmud Butt, Syed Waqar Gilani, Raasikh Elahi, Mian Akhtar Pagganwala, Javed Yaqoob Dar, Adnan Sethi, Nadeem Malhi, Azmat Saeed, Inamul Haq and Mian Imran Masood among others.
Warmly welcoming them, Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that we had very close relations with their elders and we will have to move together for the better future of the coming generations. He said PML-Q is like a family and from today Butt family is also part of our family.
Our five years tenure is full of works of public welfare, if blessed by Almighty Allah and given another opportunity we will do more work for well-being and welfare of the people, he added.
He further said that during PML-Q govt, lots of work was being done if people want that the same process should be started again, they should vote for cycle in the general elections.
Former Chairman Mangowal Amjad Iqbal Butt welcomed Ch Pervaiz Elahi, Moonis Elahi, Raasikh Elahi and Mian Imran Masood and garlanded them.
He said that his family was supporting Ahmad Mukhtar since decades together but the elders of our family and other communities have decided to support Chaudhry brothers, who are custodian of the honour of Gujrat, as compared to Ahmad Mukhtar and PML-N.
He said he alongwith other communities thousands of people unanimously joined the PML-Q and Inshallah in the elections we will ensure that from NA-105 Ch Pervaiz Elahi and from PP-110 Moonis Elahi secure victory with thumping majority.
Speaking on the occasion, Moonis Elahi said that because of the efforts of Adnan Sethi and Nadeem Malhi, Amjad Iqbal Butt family and other communities heads and members have joined PML-Q.
He said none of our colleague or worker has been disappointed with the party leadership. He said problems of this constituency will be solved like those of other constituencies are resolved. 
Earlier, Pervaiz Elahi and Moonis Elahi's electoral caravan was warmly welcomed on its way to Mangowal by the people who had gathered in large numbers at various points.
They showered petals and garlanded them and chanted slogans in their support.  Pervaiz Elahi came out of his car and thanked the people for their warm reception.
