QUETTA - Two persons including a local trader were killed while a woman was injured in firing in two different incidents in Kalat and Khuzdar on Tuesday.
In first incident, some unknown attackers opened indiscriminate firing on their rivals in main Kalat town, some 160 km away from Quetta.
As a result the group on which attack was made escaped unhurt while a passerby couple came under attack and the man was killed while woman got injured. In another incident, unknown attackers shot dead a local trader in Khuzdar town who was sitting at his shop.
The gunmen escaped from the scene after committing the crime. The trader received two bullets and was being shifted to hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, a person was killed and 25 others including women and children received injuries in a road accident at zero point on Khuzdar-Karachi Highway.
The coach carrying passengers was coming to Quetta from Karachi when it turned turtle while negotiating a turn near zero point in Khuzdar area. The injured were shifted to Khuzdar hospital where they were provided medical aid while seven of the injured whose condition was stated to be serious were shifted to Quetta.
