People hoping for unconstitutional steps would be disappointed: Kh Asif

ISLAMABAD- Defence Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif has said that people hoping for unconstitutional steps would be disappointed.

Talking to media persons informally at the Parliament House today, the Defence Minister said the order of the Supreme Court restraining any unconstitutional step by any institution of the state is good omen. He said the army is following the tradition of non intervention in politics and was confident that all the institutions including Parliament, Judiciary and army would continue to play their role as provided in the constitution.

He said long marches and rallies are purely political matters and by giving its order, the Apex Court has again emphasized that constitution was supreme in the country. He said the government was functioning and every thing is normal.
