Relief to masses in Ramzan top priority

HAFIZABAD - DCO Muhammad Asif said that district administration would provide maximum relief to the fasting Muslims during the holy month of Ramzan by providing them all essential commodities at cheaper rates. He said that Juma bazaars would be installed at different places to provid essential commodities at cheaper rates. He directed the officers concerned to select suitable sites for setting up such bazaars from where people could get commodities at cheaper than the market price. He said that stalls of meat (chicken, beef and mutton), vegetables, fruits particularly dates, sugar, flour, rice should be set up at these proposed bazzars. He also appealed to the traders to lower their profit margin on essential items during the holy month of Ramzan to get blessing of Almighty Allah. Rs106 SPENT ON UPLIFT: For raising the living standard of the masses in the rural areas, 67 uplift projects including provision of infrastructure, missing facilities in the schools, potable water, laying of sewerage have been completed or nearing completion under the special package for 2010-11, according to a official handout. As per detail, Rs106 million has been spent on the provision of missing facilities, upgradation of school, water supply and laying of sewerage out of the schemes put forward by PML-N MNA Saira Afzal Tarar, MPAs Malik Fayyaz Ahmad Awan, Mian Shahid Hussain Bhatti and Asadullah Arain. Rs200 million was spent out of district package.
