HAFIZABAD - Three persons including a woman were shot dead at three different places here the other night.
According to source, five bandits riding a car shot dead the driver of a tanker identified as Ali Muhammad when he put up resistance at Mian filling station in Sukheki. The bandits snatched Rs60,000 from Yasir Salman and gun from the gunman of the filing station.
Meanwhile driver of a tanker stationed on the premises put up resistance but the bandits started firing, killing Ali Muhammad on the spot.
Following the incident, the family members of Ali Muhammad blocked Lahore-Sargodha Road ny placing the dead body and burning tyres. They demanded arrest of the accused. On the assurance of SP (Investigations) Madam Naseem Chaudhry that the accused would be arrested shortly, they dispersed. 
Meanwhile, one Khalid of Shorkot was shot dead near a roadside restaurant near Pindi Bhattian. The motive of the offence could not be ascertained.
According to another report, a young divorced lady namely Nazia was axed to death by her brother in Qila Bukhsha for honour. According to police source, Nazia had recently been divorced and settled with her parents in Qila Bukhsha. Her brother Mohsin suspected that she had developed illicit relation with a young man in the village.  The other she was sound asleep in the house when Mohsin gave several axe blows and killed her on the spot.
