CEC to decide Bilawal’s Lahore visit, says Wattoo

Lahore - PPP central Punjab president Mian Manzoor Wattoo Sunday said precise date of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto’s arrival in Lahore would be decided in the party’s Central Executive Council meeting to be held in Islamabad on June 17.
Talking to media in Green Town here, Wattoo said the CEC would also approve the schedule of Bilawal’s meeting in Lahore with the party men. He further stated that during his stay in Lahore, Bilawal would hold series of meetings with the workers and office bearers of eight divisions of Punjab, seeking their recommendations to revive the party.
He expressed his confidence that he would present the PPP Punjab to the Chairman as a better organised party, capable of taking the challenges of the political opponents.
Wattoo maintained that the PPP was a party of workers, farmers, down-trodden, minorities and women, and would continue the politics dedicated to their empowerment. It will continue the struggle till the full realisation of their rights as per vision of the founding father of the party, he added.
Manzoor said the PML-N took away jobs from the poor and the PPP government restored hundreds of thousand sacked employees and the services of those were regularised who were working on temporary basis in a state of acute insecurity.
Earlier, Wattoo presided over two functions of the PPP in which he paid rich tributes to Haq Nawaz Khan and his family for rendering outstanding contributions for the party. He also met new entrants in the PPP fold through Faisal Mir. He said that the PPP under the guidance of Bilawal would contest each and every constituency of Punjab in the upcoming local bodies’ elections.
Those who accompanied Mian Manzoor included Tanvir Ashraf Kaira, Suhail Milk, Aslam Gill, Dewan Mohyuddin, Rana Gul Nasir, Afnan Sadiq Butt, Babar Faisal Butt, Asghar Nagara, Imran Uthawal, Yasir Bara, Dr. Khayyam and others.
