An Anti-terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday handed over former Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MPA Aslam Madhiana to police for two-day physical remand in teacher torture case.
Aslam Madhiana was arrested on Tuesday in Lahore after the Lahore High Court cancelled his interim bail. The accused fled after the LHC cancelled his bail and was later held by the police.
On Wednesday, a court here in Sargodha has remanded former PPP MPA Aslam Madhiana to police custody for a day, ordering police to produce him in an ATC on Thursday.
Following the court orders, Madhiana was presented before the ATC on Thursday. The court handed over the accused to police for more two-day on physical remand.
