PPP ministers, leaders to visit Hazara

PESHAWAR - Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has formally decided that a delegation representing PPP provincial ministers and office-bearers will visit Hazara Division to remove reservations of the people over renaming of the province. The decision was taken at the meeting of PPP provincial office-bearers held with its President Syed Zahir Ali Shah in chair. Prominent among those who participated in the meeting were PPP Provincial General Secretary and Federal Minister for Safron Najmudin Khan, Zulfiqar Afghani, Ghani Gul Mehsud, Behramand Tangi, Dr Adnan Bashir and Zahir Shah Toru. They reviewed overall political situation of the country, in general, and province, in particular, as well as different organisational matters were also discussed in detail. In addition, it was decided that open kutcheries would be arranged on regular basis at provincial secretariat of the party to address peoples problems, besides an outline of the PPPs provincial ministers visits to various districts of the province was also drawn. Reservations of the people from Hazara Division over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a new name for the province, would be removed by taking sincere steps, adding that in this connection, a delegation comprising PPPs provincial office-bearers and ministers would soon visit Hazara. The delegation would not only meet office-bearers of the PPP from Hazara region, but also with representatives of different organisations and parties. Besides, they would also meet families of those killed in Abbottabad on April 12. Furthermore, participants of the meeting formally dissolved PSF provincial organisation and a five-member committee headed by Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation Liaqat Shabab was formed to look after the students affairs.
