Police in Karachi needs to be depoliticized: Khan

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan reiterated that the police in Karachi needs to be depoliticized today.

Speaking to journalists before leaving for Multan, he stressed that the Rangers were not a permanent solution to the Karachi problem.

“The Rangers can only solve the Karachi problem for a little while. The police needs to be depolitised and appointments need to be made on merit.”

Imran Khan complained that the government was not distributing funds justly and announced the start of the finance award in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Khan had to pull out of his scheduled visit to Karachi on Thursday in the wake of the attack on the Ismaili community due to bad weather in the federal capital.
