LAHORE - A four-year-old girl was found stabbed to death hours after her abduction for ransom from the house of her next-door neighbours in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area late Sunday night, police sources revealed. Hafsa was the daughter of Zahoor Ahmed, an auto-dealer in Badami Bagh market and resident of 102/GG DHA. The body was recovered from the gutter of the adjacent house (102/GG-I) where only the house servants are staying as the owners are abroad. The girl used to go the house to play with the children of Khalid, the house servant. As the girl went to play with the kids of the servants, they kidnapped her and planned to demand ransom from her well-to-do parents. In the meantime, the parents started searching the girl. The more they searched her desperately, their suspicions get stronger, Station House Officer Qadir Ahmed said, when contacted. Zahoor called in the police after they failed to trace her and pointed to the adjacent house, which was searched thoroughly. The girls father cried loudly as he saw her daughter dead inside the gutter, a police investigator said. The police have arrested Khalid, his wife and their guest Rustam. Rustam have confessed before us that he had kidnapped her for ransom but later stabbed her to death and dumped her body in the gutter, the SHO said. The police have removed the body to the morgue for autopsy and started investigation.
