SIALKOT-The police yesterday claimed to have arrested five main accused, out of 20, for torturing some local eunuchs, criminally molesting them and depriving them of hundreds of thousands of rupees, after video of the incident went viral on social media. The video, showing brutal torture and abuse, went viral on the social media on November 10.
It shows that some accused led by Sialkot-based gangster Ejaz alias Jajja Butt is torturing a eunuch namely Hassan alias Meeshi with belts. Later, the accused stripped the eunuch naked and continued the brutally torture in front of several other ‘terrified’ eunuchs.
The police traced out the accused and claimed that the incident had occurred at the Dera of Guru eunuch Phool in village Pakki Kotli, Sialkot tehsil, in the night of November 10.
After the incident, the affected eunuchs told the newsmen that some 20 accused led by Ejaz alias Jajja Butt stormed the Dera of eunuchs Guru Phool and started torturing several eunuchs.
They alleged that the accused shaved heads of some eunuchs “to teach them a lesson for not bowing to their orders.”
Torture-victim Meeshi informed that the accused beaten her up and her other companions like ‘animals,’ with belts.
She told the police that the accused used to extort money from the eunuchs and forcibly abuse them.
Another affected eunuch Shanaya said that apart from this incident, the accused used to torture and abuse the local eunuchs.
Later, the affected eunuchs staged a sit-in in front of the offices of the Sialkot DCO and DPO at Kutchery Chowk.
The eunuchs were beating their chest and condemned the brutal torture and abuse.
The protesting eunuchs chanted slogans against police, demanding early justice against the accused, who, they said, are influential politically. “Their accomplices want the eunuchs not to pursue this case and therefore, threatening the eunuchs with dire consequences,” they pointed out and demanded police protection for their lives.
Meanwhile, the Sialkot Saddr Police registered a case against 20 accused for sodomising and brutally torturing some eunuchs, filming the incident and extorting hundreds of thousands of rupees from them.
The police registered the case on the report of victim eunuch Riaz alias Azmu.
