ISLAMABAD- President Mamnoon Hussain has stressed the need for enhancement of education standards and said that no nation could progress without excelling in the area of education.

The President was talking to Dr. Javed Ashraf, Vice Chancellor of Quaid-e-Azam University who called on him at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Wednesday.

The President felicitated Dr. Javed Ashraf on his appointment as Vice Chancellor of Quaid-e-Azam University and expressed confidence that his vast academic experience would greatly enable him to contribute significantly toward improving education standards of the university. The President assured the Vice Chancellor of every possible support in the performance of latter’s new tasks and responsibilities.

The President reiterated the resolve to take steps to further the promotion of research oriented and quality education in the country.

Dr. Javed Ashraf thanked the President for reposing confidence in him and expressed commitment toward undertaking all possible measures for further improving the quality of education in the premier public sector university i.e. Quaid-e-Azam University.
