LAHORE - Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has cleared 203 male candidates for interviews provisionally against the 30 posts of 'subject specialists in Urdu of BPS-17 in the Punjab Education Department (School Wing). A press note issued here on Tuesday said that according to the duly notified conditions of the advertisement, regulations and policy decisions of the Punjab Public Service Commission, a written test for short listing of candidates was held on June, 22, 2010. As a result of the written test 181 top merit candidates including 31 candidates (tie cases) who secured equal marks in the written test over and above the ratio of candidates/posts laid down in the policy decisions of the Commission plus 22 candidates against the quota reserved for disabled person, 203 candidates have been cleared for interviews provisionally. The PPSC also cleared 109 female candidates inclusive 08 candidates against the quota reserved for the disabled persons after the written test held on June, 22, for the 17 posts of 'subject specialists in Urdu BPS-17 (School Wing). In another written test for the short-listing of candidates was held on June 23, as a result of which 90 top merit inclusive 3 against quota reserved for disabled persons, 93 female candidates have been cleared for interviews provisionally by the PPSC against 18 posts of 'subject specialist in Pak Studies/History BPS-17 (School Wing). In written test also held on June 23 for the 'subject specialists Pak Studies/History, the PPSC cleared 157 male candidates for the interviews provisionally inclusive 15 candidates against the quota reserved for the disabled persons against the 27 posts (School Wing).
