KAKUL: President Mamnoon Hussain today vowed to continue operation Zarb-e-Azb till the end of last terrorist from the area.
Addressing the passing-out parade of cadets at Pakistan Military Academy Kakulon, he said anti-terrorism operation is pivotal for peace and security of the region and the world at large.
He said people of Pakistan and its armed forces have rendered unprecedented sacrifices in war against terror which are now bringing dividend in the shape of improved law and order situation.
Mamnoon Hussain said the operation was launched with the consensus of all political parties. He said armed forces and other state institutions have proved that they are ready to sacrifice their lives for the security of their countrymen.
The President said Pakistan desires peaceful relations with all its neighbours on the basis of mutual respect and dignity.
He said Pakistan cannot remain oblivious to foreign interference and undeclared war on its territory.
Mamnoon Hussain said all outstanding disputes with India including Kashmir should be resolved through dialogue.
He said developments in the region make it incumbent upon us to remain vigilant and enhance our defence capabilities. He assured the government will fulfil all requirements of the armed forces to meet the internal and external threats.
Mamnoon Hussain said the government is making strenuous efforts to provide basic facilities to the masses.
Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif was also present on the occasion.
