QUETTA - A personnel of Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan was killed and two others wounded in an ambush by militants in Kharan while railway track was exploded in Chagai district, on Wednesday.
According to sources, armed men attacked a check post of the FC with sophisticated weapons in Kharan. Resultantly, one FC personnel was killed and two other suffered bullet wounds. Sources said that the firing lasted about 20 minutes and the armed men fled from the scene. The dead and injured were shifted to hospital, however, their names could not be ascertained immediately.
In another incident, explosives planted with railway track in Chagai district exploded and destroyed 4-feet portion of the track besides suspending railway service between Quetta and Taftan Pak-Iran border.
