KHANEWAL - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Senior Vice Chairman Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Central President Makhdoom Javed Hashmi criticised the federal and provincial governments during an Iftar dinner held in a factory here on Wednesday.
They were addressing the party workers during the dinner hosted by tehsil Vice President Rana Naveedul Hassan. Mr Qureshi said that the country’ was in economic crisis. He lamented that Pakistani rupee was at par with France and other developed countries but today the present rulers have destroyed the economy of the country and our currency has devalued to a level which is worst in the history.
He added that due to flawed policies of the government, inflation is increasing, prices of common commodities are out of the people’s reach and they are committing suicides due to unemployment and poverty, but rulers are singing ‘all is well’.
On the occasion, Mr Hashmi said that the PTI was the only political party which gave the nation political awareness and stands against the traditional and inherited politics of feudal lords of the country. He added that the nations which do not respect judiciary are destroyed.
He said that during membership campaign in the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa, the PTI has enrolled about 8 million people under the flag of the PTI. He also criticised the PML-N leadership and said the Sharif brothers had been hijacked by some political leaders of the party, and due to dictatorship within the party, the people are leaving the PML-N.
He also said that PPP has been remained in government for 40 years and the PML-N for 24 years, but they failed to deliver for the common man and for the country, they always remained busy looting national assets. Similarly, the MQM and ANP always made alliance with the ruling party for their interest.
A large number of party workers, traders, journalist and common people attended the Iftar dinner.
