NOORPUR THAL
The inhabitants of Thal celebrated ‘National Independence Day’ with zeal and renewed pledge to rededicate their efforts towards nation-building as envisaged by Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah here the other day.
In this connection, a walk was held at the Government Primary School No 4 which was attended by officials, teachers, notables, students and public, including DDO Education Muhammad Yasin, AO Education Haji Muhammad Nawaz and AEO Syed Nazir Hussain Shah. The participants were carrying banners and placards inscribed with patriotic slogans.
Earlier, DDO Education Madam Aziz Akhtar Niazi arranged a function at Government Girls Elementary School Mohallah Hussainabad
Speaking on the occasion, she said that this was the moment to explore the very fruits of ‘freedom’ by spreading education at door-steps of the citizens, specially the girls, so as to reap the fruits of ‘true freedom’. She stressed the parents to keep their children aware of the sacrifices and untiring efforts made by the elders.
In the meanwhile, another function was held at the TMA office which was attended by AC Tahir Amin and DSP Qalub Hussain Khan.
The TMA decorated all major roads with flags, banners and buntings to give a festive look to the city.
