Former ISI chief Hameed Gul passes away

ISLAMABAD: Former director general of the Inter-Services Intelligence, General (Retd) Hameed Gul has passed away, his family said today.

According to our sources, the former spymaster was hospitalized in Murree after suffering a brain hemorrhage.

“My father’s blood pressure had fallen,” his daughter told.

Hameed Gul was born on November 20, 1936. He served as chief of Pakistan’s premier spy agency between 1987 and 1989.
