Alleged terrorist arrested near Radio Pakistan building in Peshawar, bomb recovered

PESHAWAR: A major terror bid was foiled today, as the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested a suspected terrorist and recovered a bomb from his possession, near Radio Pakistan Peshawar.

According to police, alleged terrorist Rehman-ud-Din, a member of banned organization Jamaat-ul-Ahrar from Upper Dir, was arrested near Radio Pakistan building on Bacha Khan Road. A bomb weighing two kilograms was also seized from his possession.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Rehman-ud-Din was trained for a suicide attack, police said.
