LAKKI MARWAT - Three employees of a cellular phone company were reportedly kidnapped from the area between Darra Pezu, a town of Lakki district and Yarak of DI Khan district Saturday night, said an official source on Sunday.
The source said that Zeeshan of Charsadda, Abdul Khateeb of Bahawalnagar and Ghulam Fareed of DI Khan, the employees of a cellular phone company, were going to DI Khan from Pai (Tank) in a motorcar after repairing a mobile phone tower.
Meanwhile, unidentified persons kidnapped them along with the vehicle in an area between Darra Pezu and Yarak, the source further said. He said the exact place of the incident was not yet clear as local police were engaged in ascertaining where the incident took place.
It happened either in the area limits of Shaheed Haibat Ali Khan police station of Darra Pezu town or Yarak police station of DI Khan district.
The source said that Tajori police recovered the motorcar abandoned by the kidnappers near Nungar watercourse on the border with tribal region.
When contacted, SHO Tajori Wahidullah said a police party has found an abandoned car near Nangar watercourse and took it into custody. He said equipment used in installation of mobile phone tower was also recovered from the car.
