SIALKOT -  A girl student was allegedly raped by a religious cleric at his house in village Aadha-Motra Daska tehsil here on Thursday.

According to the FIR (No 543/2016) lodged at Motra police station Under Section 376 PPC, the 7 years old was used to going to the house of the accused for getting the education of the Holy Quran. The accused was also the Khateeb of a local mosque. He had been residing in a rented house in the village. The girl went to his house for getting education. Listening to her hue and cry, some people gathered there and the accused fled away from the scene by threatening them with dire consequences. The victim was admitted to Daska Civil Hospital where the doctors said that her condition was critical. Motra police have registered the case on the report of victim’s father. Local people have strongly protested against this nasty incident, demanding immediate arrest of the accused.
