ISLAMABAD- Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad on Wednesday and briefed
him about progress so far made in the Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
The prime minister said jawans and officers of armed forces are rendering great sacrifices for the cause of the country. He said there is no parallel to their sacrifices in the recent history. He said these jawans are fighting war for the country's future. He expressed
confidence that peace and stability is the country's destiny. He added that our soldiers were fighting for the country's future.
Nawaz Sharif reiterated resolve of the government to provide all possible resources for look after and rehabilitation of people affected by the
operation. The army chief told the prime minister that the operation was progressing according to set targets. He said terrorists have been pushed to the wall and they have no other option than to die or surrender.
