LAHORE- Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Siraj-ul-Haq, has urged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif not to withdraw the option of negotiations with Taliban.
“The government has not even bothered to take any political party into confidence over North Waziristan operation,” claimed the JI leader while talking to journalists today. “There are other ways as well. The government should talk to influential tribal leaders and find a way out in this situation. I think the doors should remain open for peace talks,” Siraj-ul-Haq said. “The nation is in darkness. Those governments which take solo flights ultimately face isolation; therefore, all political forces should unite to chalk out a roadmap for betterment of the nation.”
