Army ready to face challenges, says COAS

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif has said that high standard of training, professionalism and commitment to serve the motherland have been Army’s hallmark, says a press release issued here on Saturday. “While we pay rich tributes to all our Shaheeds (martyrs) and Ghazis (alive), we have to remain prepared to face potential challenges,” he made these remarks while talking to officers at Gujranwala Garrison, the press release added. He said that armoured corps maintained a number of legendary units on its order of battle that earned gallantry awards and accolades because of their successful operations in the past wars. –Staff Reporter
The ceremony was attended by a large number of senior serving and retired officers and junior commissioned officers from Sialkot and Gujranwala garrisons.
